Licence Agreement. If you purchase Ciansoft WebTwainX, you will be asked to accept a licence agreement during the installation process. For information, this licence agreement is repeated here. There are different versions, depending on the licence you purchase:

Single Server Licence Agreement

SINGLE SERVER LICENCE AGREEMENT.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE.
This licence agreement applies to the Ciansoft WebTwainX ActiveX control and any accompanying files (collectively referred to as "the SOFTWARE").
By installing the SOFTWARE, you are considered to have accepted this agreement.
1. GRANT OF LICENCE.
You are granted a non-exclusive licence to install and use the SOFTWARE on a single web server. You may transfer the SOFTWARE to another web server only if you delete the previous installation.
You may install the SOFTWARE on one additional computer solely for the purpose of application development and testing.
2. DISTRIBUTION.
The ActiveX control file WebTwainX.ocx, or its compressed form WebTwainX.cab may be downloaded from the web server by a remote client computer which uses a web browser to access a web application hosted on the web server.
Apart from the above exception, you must not distribute the SOFTWARE or any of its component files.
3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.
The SOFTWARE is the intellectual property of Ciansoft. You must not disassemble the SOFTWARE or sell it to another party.
The server component files (WebTwainXUploadASP.dll and Ciansoft.WebTwainXUploadNet.dll) must not be used for any purpose other than to receive and process data that has been uploaded from a web browser by the WebTwainX ActiveX control.
4. LIABILITY.
The software is supplied without warranties of any kind. Ciansoft does not accept any liabilities which may arise directly or indirectly from its use.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE.
This licence agreement applies to the Ciansoft WebTwainX ActiveX control and any accompanying files (collectively referred to as "the SOFTWARE").
By installing the SOFTWARE, you are considered to have accepted this agreement.
1. GRANT OF LICENCE.
You are granted a non-exclusive licence to install and use the SOFTWARE on a single computer. You may transfer the SOFTWARE to another computer only if you delete the previous installation.
You may install the SOFTWARE on one additional computer solely for the purpose of application development and testing.
2. DISTRIBUTION.
The ActiveX file, WebTwainX.ocx, may be distributed without restriction with your own applications.
The licence file, WebTwainX.lic, is restricted to the single installation defined by this licence agreement and must not be distributed. You may make additional copies of this file only for backup purposes.
The SOFTWARE must not be used in a web application where the files are hosted on a web server and downloaded to a client computer for execution in a web browser.

5 SERVER LICENCE AGREEMENT.

This licence agreement applies to the Ciansoft TwainControlX ActiveX control and any accompanying files (collectively referred to as "the SOFTWARE").
By installing the SOFTWARE, you are considered to have accepted this agreement.
1. GRANT OF LICENCE.
You are granted a non-exclusive licence to install and use the SOFTWARE on a maximum of five (5) web servers.
You may install the SOFTWARE on one additional computer solely for the purpose of application development and testing.
2. DISTRIBUTION.
The ActiveX control file WebTwainX.ocx, or its compressed form WebTwainX.cab may be downloaded from the web servers by a remote client computer which uses a web browser to access a web application hosted on the web server.
Apart from the above exception, you must not distribute the SOFTWARE or any of its component files.

5 DEVELOPER LICENCE AGREEMENT.

This licence agreement applies to the Ciansoft TwainControlX ActiveX control and any accompanying files (collectively referred to as "the SOFTWARE").
By installing the SOFTWARE, you are considered to have accepted this agreement.
1. GRANT OF LICENCE.
You are granted a non-exclusive licence to install and use the SOFTWARE on up to five (5) computers.
2. DISTRIBUTION.
The ActiveX file, WebTwainX.ocx, may be distributed without restriction with your own applications..

CORPORATE LICENCE AGREEMENT.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE.
This licence agreement applies to the Ciansoft TwainControlX ActiveX control and any accompanying files (collectively referred to as "the SOFTWARE").
By installing the SOFTWARE, you are considered to have accepted this agreement.
1. GRANT OF LICENCE.
You are granted a non-exclusive licence to install and use the SOFTWARE on any number of computers within a single company or organisation.
2. DISTRIBUTION.
The ActiveX control file WebTwainX.ocx, or its compressed form WebTwainX.cab may be downloaded from a web server by a remote client computer which uses a web browser to access a web application hosted on the web server.
Apart from the above exception, you must not distribute the SOFTWARE or any of its component files outside the company to which the licence applies.

Distribution Licence Agreement

DISTRIBUTION LICENCE AGREEMENT.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE.
This licence agreement applies to the Ciansoft TwainControlX ActiveX control and any accompanying files (collectively referred to as "the SOFTWARE").
By installing the SOFTWARE, you are considered to have accepted this agreement.
1. GRANT OF LICENCE.
You are granted a non-exclusive licence to install and use the SOFTWARE on any number of computers within a single company or organisation.
This licence also permits you to distribute the SOFTWARE to others, subject to the conditions described under DISTRIBUTION below.
2. DISTRIBUTION.
The SOFTWARE can be used as a component part of a second software application, developed and distributed by you, the licensee. In this case, the SOFTWARE may be distributed to the end users of that second application. The end users are not permitted to use the SOFTWARE for their own development purposes.
Apart from the above exception, you must not distribute the SOFTWARE or any of its component files outside the company to which the licence applies.

Refund Policy
Ciansoft strongly recommends that you download the trial version of WebTwainX and test it thoroughly before deciding to purchase the full version. This is the best way to confirm that the software is suitable for your specific purposes.
For this reason, we do not normally offer refunds after purchase if you later decide that WebTwainX is unsuitable.
If you find a product defect such that WebTwainX does not perform correctly as described in the documentation, we will make every effort to correct the defect. If we are unable to correct the defect, then we may, at our discretion, offer a refund of the purchase price.
